GO KISS THE WORLD BY SUBROTO BAGCHI

BINOD’S RATING: 5/10
A delightful yet insightful quick read. A remarkable story of a boy from small town India who ended up heading a huge company. It’s written in a simple, candid manner and I particularly loved the below statement:
“All that good parents can do is inculcate in their children the sense that when they make a choice, they also choose the consequences.”
Our lives are about the choices we make and the consequences of those choices. Other than the fact that our coming into this world is not a matter of personal choice, most of life’s subsequent turns are consequences of the choices we make. When we make a choice, we must know that each choice entails a set of consequences and we cannot wish away that responsibility.
Many people make random job shifts and land up in the wrong roles working for the wrong bosses. People don’t hesitate to approach someone for a favor that may be out of line, only to find out that the favor comes with strings attached. Or think of the many workplace indiscretions that lead to broken careers and families.
Many of the conflicts that come up in our personal and professional lives emanate from our lack of willingness to admit that the consequences of our choices are indeed our own responsibility.
